The Assignment

An organisation is reviewing how its People Strategy & Analytics capabilities should be positioned, governed and embedded within HR for the years ahead. The assignment is to develop an independent, evidence-based recommendation for a future-ready setup, taking into account changes in AI, digitalisation, HR technology and data-driven decision-making. This is a strategic analysis and design assignment—not an interim leadership role or a temporary replacement for a departing manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess current capabilities, roles, responsibilities and ways of working.
  • Define the strategic HR capabilities required to support future business and workforce needs.
  • Evaluate the implications of AI, automation, data and HR technology for HR services and processes.
  • Develop and compare options for organisational design, positioning, operating model and governance.
  • Recommend clear ownership, collaboration and organisational anchoring across relevant teams.
  • Deliver a strategic target design, final advice, recommendations and proposed next steps for decision-making.
Your Profile
  • Extensive experience in HR strategy, organisation design and HR transformation.
  • Strong background in operating models, governance and capability development.
  • Knowledge of People Analytics, Employee Experience and HR technology.
  • Understanding of how AI and digitalisation affect HR organisations, processes and service delivery.
  • Track record advising executive and senior management teams in complex organisations.
  • Excellent analytical and stakeholder skills, with a pragmatic, outcome-oriented approach.
Expected Deliverables
A current-state assessment; a future capability vision; multiple organisational design scenarios; recommendations on governance, ownership and collaboration; and a final report with actionable recommendations and next steps.
Nature of the Assignment
A senior independent advisory engagement focused on analysis, strategic design and recommendations. The emphasis is on connecting HR strategy, people data, technology and AI into a coherent, future-proof model.
