What will you be doing?
Expertise in project planning and integrated project control will be deployed for the DRC project. The assignment includes the following activities and results:
 
  • Drafting and elaborating the project plan based on the available scope and in coordination with the project team.
  • Providing insight into the resources required at the role level to realize the project plan.
  • Processing and providing insight into the TECOP aspects: technical, economic, commercial, organizational, and political.
  • Establishing the link between project planning, project risks, and costs.
  • Conducting probabilistic analyses for project planning.
  • Creating time-path diagrams to provide insight into the work.
  • Analyzing progress and bottlenecks within the project schedule.
  • Providing insight into the consequences of bottlenecks for the project planning.
  • Drafting proposals for resolving or mitigating bottlenecks, aimed at meeting deadlines as effectively as possible.
  • If necessary, draw up and elaborate planning scenarios as input for an assessment of alternatives.
  • Providing reports on planning and progress.
  • Clearly illustrating the translation of issues and solutions into the project plan.
  • Maintaining contact with relevant stakeholders where this is necessary for the execution of the work.
  • Making an active contribution to the further development of expertise in project planning and integrated project control within the DRC project team and with the project planners.

  • Delivery: Project planning
  • A fully detailed plan based on the provided scope.
  • Role and resource requirements based on consultation with the project team.
  • A visually and textually insightful plan incorporating potential solutions.
  • Delivery: TECOP integration
  • TECOP aspects (technical, economic, commercial, organizational, political) were incorporated into the planning.
  • Documentation that provides insight into how these factors have been taken into account.
  • Delivery: Risk, cost, and planning linkage
  • A document or analysis file in which planning, risks, and costs are linked.
  • Probabilistic analyses based on project data.
  • Delivery: Time path diagrams
  • One or more time path diagrams that graphically illustrate the work and phasing.
  • Deliverable: Progress and bottleneck analysis
  • Analysis of progress against the schedule.
  • Consequence analysis of bottlenecks.
  • Detailed proposals for solutions or mitigating measures.
  • Delivery: Planning scenarios
  • Alternative planning scenarios, fully elaborated, including substantiation.
  • Delivery of scenarios as input for weighing alternatives.
  • Deliverables: Reports and communication products
  • Periodic reports on planning and progress.
  • Clear communication outputs for the project team and stakeholders (e.g., slides, summaries, dashboards).
  • Delivery: Expertise development
  • Contribution to the development of project planning and integrated project control within the DRC team.
  • Knowledge sharing with fellow project planners (e.g., formats, working methods, checks).

What do we ask?

For the execution of the assignment, you are required to:
 
  • Minimum HBO working and thinking level.
  • Preferably at least 8 years of relevant work experience in a professional work environment.
  • Extensive experience in developing resource-loaded TECOP project plans for complex multidisciplinary projects.
  • Experience with responsibility for resource-loaded TECOP project schedules.
  • Extensive experience in creating timeway diagrams for complex multidisciplinary projects.
  • Extensive experience in preparing, chairing, and processing interactive planning sessions.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Primavera OPC, or the ability to quickly acquire this.
  • Preferably experience with large capital projects (€300M+).
  • Preferably experience with project controls and project risk management in OPC.
  • A technical background or affinity with technology.
  • Be able to clearly convey the importance of a realistic project plan.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Ability to work in a structured and result-oriented manner within a dynamic and operational environment.
  • Demonstrable safety awareness
