Tender & Acquisition Manager – Subsea Cables APAC

Are you ready to play a key role in the development of major offshore energy projects across the APAC region?

For one of our clients, an international leader in offshore and marine energy projects, we are looking for an experienced Tender & Acquisition Manager – Subsea Cables APAC.

In this role, you will combine commercial leadership, business development and technical understanding to identify and secure new subsea cable opportunities across the Asia-Pacific region.

You will take the lead from the early stages of an opportunity through to tender submission, negotiations and contract award. Working with clients, partners and multidisciplinary internal teams, you will help shape competitive solutions for complex offshore cable projects.

Your role:

You will be responsible for developing and managing opportunities throughout the APAC region, while building strong and lasting relationships with key players in the offshore energy market.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a strong pipeline of subsea cable opportunities across APAC through market intelligence, networking and client engagement.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with developers, utilities, cable manufacturers, partners and subcontractors.

  • Assessing opportunities and leading bid/no-bid recommendations in line with the company's strategy and risk appetite.

  • Translating client requirements and contractual conditions into a clear tender strategy and execution plan.

  • Leading multidisciplinary tender teams across Engineering, Operations, Legal, Finance, Procurement, QHSE and Project Controls.

  • Driving technical concepts, project schedules, cost estimates, pricing and commercial proposals.

  • Identifying, assessing and managing key risks and opportunities throughout the tender process.

  • Coordinating partners, suppliers and subcontractors, including commercial and contractual agreements.

  • Leading client clarifications, commercial discussions and contract negotiations together with internal stakeholders.

  • Ensuring a smooth and effective handover from tender to project execution.

 

The project you will work on:

You will be involved in complex offshore energy projects covering areas such as:

  • Subsea export and array cables

  • Interconnectors

  • Cable landfalls

  • Cable burial and protection

  • Offshore and marine installation works

You will have the opportunity to contribute to major energy transition projects and help shape the development of subsea cable infrastructure across one of the world's most dynamic offshore energy regions.

 

What you bring:

You are commercially driven, technically curious and comfortable taking ownership of complex opportunities. You know how to bring different disciplines together and turn client requirements into practical, competitive solutions.

You have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Marine Technology, Business or a related field.

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in offshore energy, subsea cables, marine construction, tendering or business development.

  • A good understanding of subsea cable installation, burial and protection.

  • Experience with export or array cables, interconnectors or landfalls is an advantage.

  • A solid understanding of the commercial and contractual aspects of EPC, EPCI or marine installation projects.

  • Strong commercial awareness combined with sufficient technical understanding to challenge, connect and develop solutions.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at different organisational levels.

  • The ability to work effectively across different cultures, disciplines and countries.

  • A structured, proactive and decisive approach, with the ability to lead teams under demanding deadlines.

  • Excellent command of English and a willingness to travel regularly throughout the APAC region.

  • Additional regional languages are a plus.
