MP Marshalling Yard Quality Inspector - 2027
We ARE looking for an MP Marshalling Yard Quality Inspector to act as the Owner's Engineer onsite representative for the Norfolk Vanguard East Offshore Wind project, based at BOW Terminal, Nieuwdorp, Netherlands.
You will monitor the quality of Monopile (MP) activities at the marshalling yard, ensuring compliance with Project/Contract requirements, applicable specifications, standards and norms. You will be the primary quality interface between the Contractor's site team and the Employer's Package team.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming, HAT and outgoing/final inspections of MPs and other project components.
- Witness/surveil inspection, testing and quality activities per agreed ITPs and procedures.
- Monitor NDT wait times and review fabrication/NDT records progressively.
- Perform coating/paint inspections, dimensional checks and preservation monitoring.
- Verify fabrication drawings against design drawings during product inspection.
- Participate in QC meetings, joint walks, NCR reviews, punch/snag identification and follow-up.
- Report quality queries, defects and non-conformities; raise NCRs where required.
- Record activities in Let's Build (Aproplan) and prepare daily/weekly site reports.
- Collate Lessons Learned and support Final As-Built record reviews.
- Mandatory: PCN Level II NDT or equivalent – VT, MT, PT, UT, RT, 10+ years' experience.
- Mandatory: CSWIP 3.2 / AWS-SCWI or equivalent.
- Mandatory: Coating inspection qualification (FROSIO/NACE or equivalent).
- Mandatory: EU right to work with evidence provided prior to commencement.
- Time served with HNC/HND or craft qualification in Structural/Mechanical discipline.
- Extensive client Inspector / supervisory experience on large fabricated offshore structures (Offshore Wind – Foundations, Monopiles, Transition Pieces). – evidenced on your CV
- Experience with NORSOK / DNV standards for Offshore Wind or O&G.
- Strong leadership, autonomy and proactive approach.
- Fluent English (written and spoken), IT proficiency (MS Office, Teams, Outlook).
- Full driving licence (if visiting other sites).
Contract type: Freelance/Self-Employed
Working pattern: Monday–Friday, full-time, occasional weekend work when required
Duration: 01 May 2027 – 30 March 2028 (10 months)
