Structural Engineer
We're looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team and help ensure safe construction. You'll review and assess structural applications ranging from small extensions to large-scale projects.
Your Role
Structurally test and assess applications against laws and regulations
Make decisions on risk assessment, structural safety, permit granting/rejection, permit conditions, and expert advice
Form independent judgments and ensure timely, correct processing of applications — consulting with the team on politically complex cases
Consult with applicants and key participants in the procedure
Apply ready knowledge of the Eurocodes, Building Decree, and Environment and Planning Act
You Bring
Academic degree in structural engineering (e.g., Technical University / Architecture / Construction)
Deep command of your structural trade and insight into other technical disciplines
Analytical skills to recognize causal relationships and interrelationships
Strong communication — empathize with others, encourage openness, adapt your language, formulate clearly and listen well
Team player with good functional contacts inside and outside the department (architects, contractors, project developers, structural engineers, housing associations, government bodies)
