Gas Pipeline Inspector
Role Overview:
We ARE seeking an experienced Gas Pipeline Inspector to support inspection activities within a large industrial site in Velsen-Noord, Netherlands. In this role, you will inspect gas pipeline systems and gas pressure regulating stations, ensuring that installations operate safely and comply with applicable technical standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned inspections of gas pressure regulating stations and gas pipeline systems.
- Inspect components including valves, filters, pressure regulators, and safety devices.
- Carry out inspections in accordance with SCIOS and AG-ZP requirements.
- Identify and report technical deviations, leaks, malfunctions, and other abnormalities.
- Record measurement data, inspection results, and completed activities accurately.
- Prepare clear inspection reports and technical documentation.
- Assist with maintenance, overhaul, and inspection activities.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks according to established work instructions.
- Support the start-up, shutdown, and switching of industrial installations.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
- Work in accordance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Participate in an on-call service for potential technical malfunctions.
- Completed MBO-3 or equivalent technical education in Process Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Operational Technology, Installation Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with gas installations, gas pipeline systems, or gas pressure regulating stations.
- Experience within an industrial, production, process, or maintenance environment.
- Knowledge of technical installations and pipeline systems.
- Experience or authorization to carry out SCIOS / AG-ZP inspections.
- Basic knowledge of safe working practices within an industrial environment.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Willingness to complete additional technical training and job-specific certifications.
- VCA Basic certification.
- Comfortable working at height.
- Strong focus on safety and compliance.
- Accurate and detail-oriented approach to inspections and reporting.
- Good technical and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify and communicate technical issues effectively.
- Able to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team.
- Responsible and structured approach to fieldwork.
- Good communication skills.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
Duration: 6–9 months
Hours: 40 hours per week
