Coating Inspector
We ARE looking for a Coating Inspector to cover the scope of Monopile Coating at the EEW facility in Rostock, Germany on a rotational 15/15 basis.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Act as the client’s representative to oversee all coating activities throughout the manufacturing process of offshore wind monopiles
- Witness and approve critical stages including surface preparation (blasting/abrasive cleaning), primer and intermediate/final coat application, and curing processes
- Perform inspection of coating thickness (DFT), adhesion, and environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point)
- Conduct daily surveillance of coating application quality, workmanship, and HSE compliance
- Review and sign off on material certificates, PDS, SDS, and inspection & test plans (ITPs)
- Expedite the coating contractor when delays or quality issues occur and escalate immediately to the client
- Issue daily and weekly inspection reports and non-conformance reports (NCRs) as required
- Coordinate with the client’s project/quality team and attend regular progress meetings as needed
- Support final inspection and release for shipment in accordance with project specifications
Requirements / Your Profile:
- At least 3–5 years of proven experience as a coating inspector in heavy steel fabrication or offshore wind; direct monopile coating experience is mandatory
- Valid FROSIO Level III certification is mandatory – please state certificate number in your application
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 12944, NORSOK M-501, IMO PSPC, and relevant coating application standards
- Hands-on experience with surface preparation, paint application methods (airless spray, etc.), and inspection equipment (DFT gauges, adhesion testers, hygrometers)
- Fluent technical English (written and spoken); German is a strong advantage
- Professional attitude and strong communication skills – you will represent the client on-site daily
- Eligible to live and work in the EU/Schengen area without visa sponsorship
- Applicant must have relevant monopile/offshore wind coating experience clearly listed on their CV – (Mandatory Requirement)

Duration: October 2026 – November 2027 (approx.) - still end date to be confirmed
Schedule: 15 days on / 15 days off rotation
