Buyer
In this role as a Buyer, you are a versatile specialist. You have direct contact with the operational unit and are physically located at a site in IJmuiden. It is a responsible role in which, as a Buyer, you primarily focus on concluding various (framework) contracts for Maintenance Services. You manage the contract process and act as the single point of contact. Your focus ranges from small one-off maintenance contracts to multi-year investment projects that are part of the Capex program with a spend of up to 5 million. You serve as the point of contact for one-off activities that fall outside the regular contracts.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing end-user specifications and requirements and translating these into procurement advice and a procurement plan.
- Initiating, guiding, executing, and implementing tender processes.
- Requesting quotations from selected suppliers.
- Negotiating and drafting orders and contracts with suppliers.
- Ensuring relationship management so that strategic choices are made in collaboration with suppliers.
- Monitoring and improving supplier performance.
- Handling additional work and claims in close consultation with your client.
- In collaboration with other stakeholders, you develop the long-term procurement policy. Through this, you contribute to achieving the objectives of the overall procurement organization and the improvements we strive for.
- Completed a technical HBO (higher professional education) degree, possibly supplemented with NEVI 1 and 2, and/or you are willing to pursue relevant training.
- 2-3 years of experience and an affinity with installation maintenance and technology in general.
- Knowledge of tendering projects involving various disciplines.
- Experience with project management (Prince 2) and change management processes is a plus.
- Maintain contacts at all levels to discuss existing and new contracts at both tactical and strategic levels
- You are good at negotiating and persuading others.
- You have good verbal and written skills in both Dutch and English.
- Affinity with SAP is a plus.
