About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Supervisor to oversee the execution of a large-scale underground civil project. In this role, you will represent the client during the construction of a complex, strategic development—a new underground baggage facility spanning approximately 32,500 m², providing space for over 21,000 m² of new baggage systems.

You will be responsible for guiding and monitoring the preparation and execution of excavation pits, foundations, and underground structures, ensuring quality, safety, and progress are meticulously controlled.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor project preparation and execution on behalf of the client.

  • Oversee progress, quality, safety, and contractual compliance related to excavation pits, foundations, and underground structures—with a visible presence on-site.

  • Identify risks and deviations early; report and discuss these with the Project Manager; ensure decisions, actions, and agreements are properly documented.

  • Act as the key liaison between the contractor and the client.

  • Serve as the client's representative on-site, acting as the "eyes and ears" of the Construction Manager during all works.

  • Proactively signal potential issues and ensure they are brought to the project team's attention in a timely manner.

About You

  • A proven Supervisor with a strong track record in complex underground civil projects.

  • HBO-level (higher professional education) thinking and working ability, preferably in Civil Engineering.

  • At least 10 years of experience in civil execution, supervision, or site management.

  • Demonstrated experience on the client side within complex civil or infrastructure projects is highly preferred.

  • Solid experience with excavation pits, foundations, and underground structures.

  • Knowledge of sheet pile constructions, soil improvement, excavations, dewatering, and foundation techniques.

  • Familiarity with UAV, UAV-GC, and RAW standards.

  • Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines in foundation and geotechnical construction (e.g., CUR 166 and CUR 77).

  • Valid VCA-VOL certificate.

  • Experience working in complex execution environments with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong communication skills with an independent, decisive, and proactive attitude.
