Project Planner
Location: Delft and Utrecht (Hybrid)

As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules for large-scale high-voltage infrastructure projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, work preparers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered according to schedule while providing clear insight into project progress, capacity requirements, and project progress. This position focuses on long-term project planning and project control rather than daily operational or workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Translate project activities, maintenance work, and engineering deliverables into realistic planning and lead times.
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules, phase plans, milestones, and timelines.
• Monitor project progress, identify scheduling risks, delays, and critical path impacts.
• Analyse planning performance and report on project and portfolio developments.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and contribute to continuous improvements in project control.
• Forecast resource requirements and monitor project progress based on planning data.
• Coordinate planning activities with project managers, engineers, contractors, document controllers, and other stakeholders.
• Regularly visit project locations to align planning with project execution. Requirements
• HBO (Higher Professional Education) degree, preferably in a technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience creating and managing complex project schedules within a technical or infrastructure environment.
• Experience planning multidisciplinary engineering, construction, energy, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with Microsoft Project is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Prince2 Foundation, IPMA D, and VCA certifications are an advantage, or willingness to obtain them.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent Dutch is required.
We are looking for a Project Planner with experience in planning complex technical projects. The ideal candidate understands project dependencies, critical path planning, forecasting, and project controls, and can proactively communicate planning risks and solutions to various stakeholders. Please note that this is not an operational or capacity planning position. The focus is on managing project schedules for complex infrastructure projects from initiation through completion.
Working Environment
You will join a multidisciplinary team supporting complex high-voltage infrastructure projects alongside project planners, work preparers, estimators, document controllers, and other project professionals. The role follows a hybrid working model, with approximately half of your time spent in the office and the remainder working remotely or visiting project locations as required.
