Projectleider IT
We ARE Renewables is looking for a Project Leader for one of our clients in the energy sector.
As a Project Leader, you contribute directly to the energy system of the future and get to work on the foundation for future System Operations capabilities. Demand for grid capacity and grid dynamics are increasing significantly. You lead complex projects with a strong IT component, from start to finish. Examples include projects related to grid measurement and remote control, increasing intelligence in the energy system, grid load forecasting, and more autonomous operation. In doing so, you help integrate new energy carriers and smart solutions effectively and translate the clients strategy into concrete results.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- You start the day with a cup of coffee or tea in the team meeting, where you discuss progress, identify bottlenecks, and adjust the schedule.
- You refine the assignment formulation, monitor the scope, and work on project planning, budgets, and risk management. You also effectively set up the project organization.
- During your lunch break, enjoy the view of Rotterdam from the 18th floor or step into the city for a walk.
- After lunch, you speak with stakeholders such as data experts, technical specialists, suppliers, or clients. You report on progress, build support, and ensure everyone stays engaged.
- You will spend the rest of the afternoon working out bottlenecks and further building the new System Operations Development department by determining the impact on work processes and the organization.
- A completed higher professional or university education in a technical or business-related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience as a project leader of complex multidisciplinary IT projects in the technical sector (infrastructure, construction, telecom, etc.), and preferably at a grid operator or in the energy sector.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, IPMA, SAFe, and Agile/Lean.
Location: Rotterdam + Hybrid
Duration: September – February 2027 (Extension is possible)
