IT Designer – Mobile Telecom / LTE Network Infrastructure
As an Interim IT Designer, you will play a key role in translating telecom architecture and business requirements into practical IT designs, implementation plans, and integration solutions for a critical LTE-M mobile network environment. You will act as the bridge between architecture, business, IT operations, sourcing, and suppliers to ensure scalable, secure, and manageable solutions.
Working in a complex telecom and utility environment, you will combine solution design expertise, knowledge of BSS/OSS, ITSM, CRM, provisioning flows, and integration concepts to support the development of a secure B2B IoT mobile network. You will collaborate closely with architects, process designers, security teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality designs and implementation roadmaps.
What will you do?
- Translate IT architecture and project scope into concrete designs, requirements, implementation choices, and work packages
- Create and maintain High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), and technical solution documentation
- Define IT capabilities and requirements across domains such as CRM/BSS, OSS, ITSM, CMDB, IAM, interfaces, reporting, and supporting tooling
- Design and improve mobile network provisioning flows and assurance processes
- Support the development of solutions for fault management, performance management, and configuration management
- Translate business and operational needs into functional and non-functional requirements
- Define requirements around performance, availability, security, logging, monitoring, auditability, and data retention
- Design and document system interfaces, including ownership, source/target systems, data flows, security requirements, error handling, and operational support agreements
- Support sourcing activities by preparing requirements, supplier evaluation criteria, RFP/RFQ input, and reviewing vendor proposals
- Ensure solutions align with operational processes, service management standards, and future maintainability
- Collaborate with architects, business teams, security, privacy, operations, procurement, and external suppliers
- Identify dependencies, risks, and design decisions within complex programs involving multiple stakeholders
- Prepare decision proposals and support governance discussions with clear technical recommendations
- Ensure smooth handover of designs and solutions towards implementation and operational teams
What do you bring?
- 8+ years of experience as an IT Designer, Solution Designer, Technical Consultant, or similar role
- Strong experience designing IT solutions within telecom, utilities, infrastructure, or other complex technical environments
- Proven experience with BSS/OSS, CRM, ITSM, CMDB, workflow, fulfilment processes, and integration platforms
- Experience designing mobile network provisioning flows and assurance solutions
- Knowledge of fault management, performance management, and configuration management concepts
- Experience translating architecture into practical designs, requirements, and implementation plans
- Strong understanding of service management processes including incident, change, and problem management
- Experience defining interfaces, integrations, APIs, and system dependencies
- Knowledge of security principles including logging, auditability, data retention, monitoring, and operational security requirements
- Experience with eSIM M2M integration is highly desirable
- Experience supporting sourcing processes, RFP/RFQ activities, and supplier evaluations
- Experience working in programs with multiple projects, suppliers, and technical dependencies
- Ability to balance MVP solutions with scalable future-state architecture
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure complex technical challenges
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical teams
- Pragmatic mindset with the ability to drive decisions and deliver results
