Payroll Administrator

We are looking for an experienced Interim Payroll Administrator. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration while acting as a subject matter expert and key advisor to the HR and Finance teams. You will ensure all payroll changes are submitted accurately and on time, review payroll runs, and serve as the primary point of contact for complex payroll-related matters.
In addition, you have extensive experience with AFAS Profit and are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, using it to perform reconciliations, analyses, and process improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Process and verify payroll and employee data changes in AFAS Profit.
  • Coordinate collaboration with the external payroll provider.
  • Review and validate payroll runs and payslips.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll processing.
  • Apply current Dutch payroll legislation, tax regulations, and collective labour agreement (CAO) provisions.
  • Prepare reports and perform checks and data analyses using Excel.
  • Advise HR, Finance, and management on payroll-related matters.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the optimisation of payroll processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (HBO) supplemented with a relevant payroll qualification, such as BKL, PDL, or VPS.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Payroll Administrator.
  • Demonstrable experience with AFAS Profit is mandatory.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and data analysis.
  • Experience working with internal HR and Finance departments and an external payroll provider.
  • Solid knowledge of Dutch payroll legislation, payroll taxes, and social security regulations.
  • Accurate, analytical, able to work independently, and strong communication skills.
