Role: Quality Controller

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • In consultation with the Quality Coordinator, you determine which analyses need to be carried out by external laboratories and prepare the relevant samples.
  • You perform daily inspections of products and raw materials on site.
  • You collect samples of raw materials and (semi-)finished products.
  • You carry out quality analyses using standardized testing methods.
  • You compare the test results against the established product specifications.
  • You report analysis results to the production team.
  • You improve the management of results in the company database.
  • You prepare control instructions and procedures.
  • You are responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the laboratory and for keeping laboratory equipment up to date.
  • You manage the laboratory administration.
  • You monitor the certification of our aggregate products.
  • You liaise with external organizations responsible for certifying our products and conducting audits.
  • In the long term, you will be capable of taking responsibility for managing all DBM laboratories.
Your Profile
  • You have experience as a laboratory technician or quality control employee, supported by relevant training or education.
  • You have at least a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent level of education.
  • You are willing to travel between Ostend (Belgium), Vlissingen (Netherlands), Dunkirk (France), and Boulogne (France).
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, with a basic knowledge of French.
  • You are willing and motivated to complete any required training.
  • You work accurately, conscientiously, and have a strong sense of responsibility.
