We ARE looking for a Works Manager (Offshore) for the operational execution of the Rock Bag protection scope for a Cables project, managing subsea cable protection and stabilization works on board a DPII offshore support vessel.

You will lead a team of Site Superintendents, ROV Pilots, and Offshore Engineers, reporting directly to the Offshore Project Manager.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Organize and plan the daily offshore works, ensuring rock bag deployment aligns with the overall project schedule.
  • Focus on the optimization and execution of the rock bag installation scope, ensuring precise placement around cable protection systems (CPS).
  • Take care of the client's needs (internal and external), maintaining strong communication with RTE and other project stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the efficient realization of project activities, proactively addressing free-span corrections and seabed stabilization challenges.
  • Manage QHSE-S standards rigorously, keeping the project within time and budget while operating in the challenging tidal conditions of the English Channel.
  • Work closely with Superintendents, ROV teams, and Project Engineers on site to coordinate daily operations.
  • Coordinate the operational staff, including vessel crew, deck teams, and offshore technicians, ensuring seamless shift handovers and clear task delegation.
  • Oversee logistics and material handling, ensuring rock bag supplies are managed efficiently on board.
  • Ensure accurate daily production reporting and as-built documentation for client handover.

Requirements / Your profile:
  • Master's degree in (Civil) Engineering, preferably with a specialization in construction, marine, or offshore engineering, or equivalent by experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with complex offshore engineering projects, with proven exposure to subsea cable protection, rock installation, and/or ROV-deployed works.
  • Willing to go offshore in rotations for long periods (project runs from July to November 2026).
  • Autonomous and a problem-solver by nature, capable of making real-time decisions under challenging marine conditions.
  • Hands-on mentality with a strong focus on precision and quality.
  • Strong teamwork values, able to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary offshore crew.
  • Working abroad on projects for longer periods is no issue.
  • English is mandatory; French is a strong asset (given the project location in France and client interactions).
