Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Role Overview:
We ARE seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support electrical engineering projects across a modern fleet of offshore and dredging vessels. In this role, you will lead the preparation, coordination, and execution of electrical maintenance, retrofit, and improvement projects, ensuring vessel electrical systems remain safe, reliable, and operational. This is a shore-based position with occasional international travel to vessels, shipyards, suppliers, and project sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical maintenance, repair, retrofit, and improvement projects across offshore and dredging vessels.
  • Prepare technical work scopes, engineering solutions, budgets, schedules, safety documentation and resource plans for electrical projects.
  • Manage projects from initial planning through execution, ensuring quality, budget, and planning objectives are achieved.
  • Coordinate activities with vessel crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze recurring electrical failures and implement reliability and performance improvements.
  • Conduct technical assessments on board vessels and at shipyards to define project scopes and support project execution.
  • Provide technical expertise during supplier selection, procurement activities, and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, automation, reliability, and operational teams on multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards throughout all project phases.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and innovations in maritime and offshore electrical systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering within maritime, offshore, industrial, or other heavy asset environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, drives, automation, and control systems.
  • Proven experience managing complex engineering, maintenance, or retrofit projects.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers, and multiple technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of electrical troubleshooting, system reliability, and continuous improvement.
