You are the primary point of contact for the community surrounding one or more of the client's projects in North Holland. You build and maintain a strong network of stakeholders and know exactly what is going on in the region. You are in direct contact with local residents and residents' groups, you are accessible and know what is going on. You clearly identify interests, issues, and opportunities and translate them into actions You work closely with regional partners to actually make projects possible You work in a dynamic environment where pressure sometimes rises, for example during critical project phases. You know how to handle this well: you maintain an overview, set priorities, and organize your work independently. You compile files, keep them up to date, and ensure that project teams always have the right insights. You work according to a uniform and professional approach to environmental management You are well-versed in client's medium- and long-term developments and the interests at play. You monitor political and societal developments and translate these into impact and opportunities for projects. You work closely with environmental managers and the regional director on an integrated stakeholder approach. You develop strong communication and participation approaches together with colleagues and communication advisors. You design participation processes and coordinate their implementation from start to finish You ensure support in the local community and contribute to a strong, consistent reputation for the client You engage market parties where necessary and monitor the quality of their work You actively coordinate with colleagues from Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, and Media Relations
A relevant higher professional or university degree, preferably in communication, public administration, or spatial planning At least 5 years of experience with participation and complex (preferably infrastructure) projects Living in North Holland is a plus, as is a network in and knowledge of North Holland. You understand the complex playing field in which the client operates and are capable of delivering high-level environmental management. You combine strategic insight and tactical ability with a hands-on approach You are analytically strong, think in scenarios, and switch gears quickly and thoughtfully. You have experience developing environmental strategies and organizing participation processes. You are able to develop a targeted, effective approach for diverse stakeholders. You have knowledge of spatial and infrastructural developments You are empathetic, connecting, and know how to bring people and organizations along.
