We ARE Renewables is looking for a Technical Advisor( Regional Ambassador)                                        Energy Infrastructure (South/West Region)

Location: Utrecht (working across the South/West region of the Netherlands)
Hours: 28–32 hours per week
Start: 3 August 2026
Duration: Until 31 December 2027

Are you an experienced stakeholder manager with a strong regional network and a passion for the energy transition? We are looking for a Regional Ambassador who can connect governments, infrastructure projects, and regional stakeholders to help deliver major energy infrastructure developments.
About the role
In this strategic position, you will act as the link between public authorities, regional stakeholders, and internal project teams. You will help ensure that infrastructure projects are embedded in regional spatial planning, permitting processes, and long-term development strategies.
Working across multiple projects and business units, you will identify risks early, strengthen collaboration, and support the successful realization of infrastructure related to hydrogen, green gas, CO₂, heat, LNG, and existing gas networks.

Your responsibilities
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with regional authorities and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate collaboration between internal teams and external partners.
  • Ensure energy infrastructure projects are incorporated into regional spatial and environmental plans.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities within stakeholder and permitting processes.
  • Support governance agreements and strategic cooperation with regional partners.
  • Monitor developments in regional planning and advise on their impact.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement across multiple projects and business lines.
  • Provide strategic insights to senior management for discussions with external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate stakeholder information and support knowledge sharing.

What we're looking for
  • University-level education or equivalent working and thinking level, preferably with a technical background.
  • At least 10 years of experience in strategic stakeholder management within complex environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Strategic Environmental Management (SEM).
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong political and organizational awareness.
  • Experience working with government authorities and permitting processes.
  • Outstanding communication and advisory skills.
  • An established professional network in the South/West region of the Netherlands.
  • A collaborative, results-oriented approach with the ability to connect different interests.
  • Willingness to travel within the Netherlands when required.
