Mission Equipment Technician
Role Overview:
We ARE looking for a Mission Equipment Technician to join one of our clients in the offshore industry on a permanent staff basis in the Netherlands. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and preparing mission equipment, ensuring all equipment is safe, fully operational, and ready for deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair activities on mission equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Process maintenance and repair activities within the ERP maintenance system (Maximo).
- Ensure mission equipment is properly preserved, maintained, and available for upcoming projects.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following company QHSE procedures and Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.
- Supervise subcontractors during maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards within technical workspaces.
- Support the Mission Equipment Engineer with inventory management and tracking of mission equipment assets.
- Coordinate outsourced maintenance and repair activities and monitor work performed by external contractors.
- Create and manage purchase requisitions for spare parts and services, perform quality checks upon receipt, and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Monitor and manage stock levels of spare parts and consumables in a cost-effective manner.
- Assist operational teams during project preparation, equipment mobilization, and transfers to offshore vessels.
- Perform off-hire inspections of returned equipment and update equipment status within the maintenance management system.
- Technical education or equivalent practical Electrical and Mechanical skills.
- Strong technical background with experience in maintenance and repair of heavy equipment or industrial machinery.
- Hands-on experience working with hydraulic systems.
- Good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), preferably Maximo, or willingness to learn.
- Good IT skills and the ability to work with digital maintenance and operational systems.
- Experience in offshore, maritime, heavy equipment, or industrial environments is considered an advantage.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
