European Satellite Workshop & Operations Supervisor – Antwerp

As a European Satellite Workshop & Operations Supervisor, you will lead the daily operations of satellite workshops in Antwerp and Valencia. You are responsible for optimizing workshop performance, coordinating people and resources, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency for the inspection and repair of rotating equipment.

What will you do?

  • Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the satellite workshops, including personnel, materials, tooling, and equipment
  • Supervise inspection, maintenance, and minor repair activities for OEM and non-OEM rotating equipment
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality workshop execution in accordance with company standards and procedures
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of workshop technicians
  • Monitor productivity, quality, KPIs, and operational performance while identifying improvement opportunities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to workshop processes, tooling, infrastructure, and operational excellence
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance of workshop equipment and ensure operational readiness
  • Identify technical issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Support production testing, quality assurance, and workshop validation activities
  • Assist with budget planning and monitor operational costs and resource utilization
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality procedures, and company governance
  • Build strong cooperation between the Antwerp and Valencia satellite workshops
  • Promote a collaborative, customer-focused, and high-performing working environment

What do you bring?

  • Technical degree or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience with rotating equipment, turbomachinery, or industrial mechanical maintenance
  • Experience working with steam turbines, compressors, pumps, or similar rotating machinery
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a workshop, service, maintenance, or production environment
  • Strong understanding of inspection, repair, maintenance, and workshop operations
  • Experience coordinating technicians, resources, and operational planning
  • Good knowledge of workshop equipment, tooling, and industrial service processes
  • Strong customer, supplier, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience driving operational improvements and solving technical issues
  • Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office
  • Hands-on, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating multiple operational priorities
  • Fluent in Dutch and English; German is considered an advantage
  • Living within commuting distance of Antwerp
  • Valid EU work authorization/passport required

Job details

  • Location: Antwerp – Port Area
  • Working model: Full-time onsite with occasional travel to Valencia
  • Salary: €4,900–€7,000 gross per month (depending on experience)
  • Total annual package: Approximately €65,000–€95,000 gross including bonuses and benefits
  • Industry: Rotating Equipment / Turbomachinery / Industrial Services
  • Travel: Occasional international travel between European satellite workshops
  • EU work authorization required
