IT Team Leader – People Developer

We ARE Renewables is looking for a IT Team Leader – People developer  for one of our clients in the energy sector.
You will have the opportunity to combine your passion for leadership and digitalization. Task and Responsibilities
  • You coach and guide IT professionals in their development within Agile teams and departments (you provide hierarchical leadership to a group of approximately 25-35 IT employees).
  • As a member of the Tactical Square (Release Train Engineer (RTE), Solution Architects, and Product Managers), you align supply and demand so that the team can perform optimally.
  • You are consulting with your fellow Sr. People Developer about the impact of a budget change on the Strategic Workforce Planning of all Agile Release Trains.
  • You coach fellow People Developers on the run & change backlog and align initiatives with organizational goals.
  • You think ahead regarding talent development and the development of professional groups, ensuring your employees are ready for the future, and you are able to oversee this for all teams as a whole.
Key Requirements
  • You possess at least a higher professional education (HBO+) working and thinking level;
  • You have at least 8 years of hierarchical leadership experience with a people-oriented focus in a dynamic IT environment (having worked within an Agile SAFe framework) within a matrix structure;
  • You have experience with sourcing issues and strategic workforce planning. Here, you demonstrate that, in addition to working for your own teams, you can also make an impact across teams.
  • You have experience with performance and development management. You have experience conducting conversations; 
  • You can translate tactical objectives into personal objectives for the employees.
  • You know how to translate your people-oriented focus into broader organizational issues, and you are a good sparring partner in this regard for the People Development Team and the People Development Manager.
Location: Rotterdam + Hybrid
Duration: August 2026 – February 2027 (Extension Possible)
