We ARE Renewables is looking for a GIS Application Administrator for one of our clients in the energy sector.
As an Application Administrator within the ARGON team, you ensure that critical applications and data streams within the electricity process continue to run smoothly. Your work has a direct impact on the reliability of the energy grid – something the entire organization relies on.

Task and Responsibilities

As an Application Administrator, you combine technical knowledge with strong communication skills. You can analyze problems, formulate solutions, and convey them clearly.
You regularly switch between different departments, making your social and organizational skills important as well.
  • You delve into a user story, analyze missing information, and coordinate with colleagues, for example from the drafting room.
  • You work on sustainable solutions that strengthen the chain.
  • During refinement sessions, you discuss new business requirements and translate them into concrete functional improvements.
  • You supplement this with management requirements to keep applications (such as BMR Mobile) stable and future-proof.

Key Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience with Smallworld GIS (mandatory requirement)
  • At least 4 years of experience with technical application management, for example with:
    • SQL Server
    • Windows environments
    • Azure
    • Monitoring tools
  • Experience with incident analysis and resolution according to ITIL
  • Experience with Git and Azure cloud environments
  • Preferably knowledge of EO (Electric Office) systems and functional experience, such as:
    • Modifying and managing data
    • Entering and verifying data
    • Experience from an IT testing role is also relevant in this regard.
  • Insight into work processes within the execution and drafting departments, including knowledge of the various phases within project life cycles.
  • Ability to grasp abstract concepts, such as the EO data model, and translate them into clear and usable functional designs for end users
  • Strong problem-solving skills and capable of independently acquiring missing knowledge
