HSE Coordinator
For our Client projects, we are looking in the short term for a Project Safety Specialist who can be deployed on national and partly international projects.
The Role
As a Project Safety Specialist, the candidate plays a key role in ensuring safety and wellbeing across projects. The focus is on developing HSE plans, making safety practically applicable on site, and providing direction and advice where needed.
The candidate:
- Maintains a visible presence on project sites and easily interacts with project management, site execution teams, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Provides clear guidelines and supports teams in taking ownership of safety responsibilities.
- Actively contributes to strengthening safety awareness and safety culture within projects.
- Ensures that safety policies, procedures, and HSE/Q plans are clearly communicated and complied with by employees and subcontractors.
- Reports safety performance to management and follows up on audits, inspections, and improvement actions.
- Maintains professional relationships with regulatory authorities, clients, external parties, and the QHSE department.
The projects are technically challenging, complex, and socially significant. The candidate will be part of the QHSE organization, with office locations in Rotterdam and Gorinchem, and will primarily work on projects in the Netherlands. Please note that occasional short business trips may be required.
Profile – What We Are Looking For
- Successfully completed MVK or HVK qualification/certification.
- Solid and demonstrable knowledge of infrastructure projects in the Netherlands.
- Experience or demonstrable affinity with HSE in a project-based environment (experience in a similar role is considered an advantage).
- Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
- Strong communication and people management skills.
- Motivated to make a tangible impact on safety and the environment.
Project: A15/A12 Extension Ressen–Zevenaar (ViA15)
- This project covers the area between Rotterdam and Arnhem and back. Physical presence on site is important and can be scheduled in consultation with the project team.
40 hours a week
