Contract Manager
Within your project team, you are responsible for the quality of procurement and contract management for primary and secondary contracts during the realization phase. You contribute to and direct the preparation and management of the contracts under your care and serve as the point of contact for this.
You discuss the status of your contracts with your project team and share your knowledge and experience. This ranges from establishing procurement strategies and contract preparation to the tendering and execution of projects.
You ensure that contracts comply with applicable frameworks, guidelines, and preconditions, and cover internal client demand. You oversee processes regionally and nationally and monitor the uniform approach. This also requires showing initiative and applying more customization, creativity, and openness towards the market.
In addition to engaging with the contractor, you arrange for system, process, and product assessments to be carried out and constantly ask yourself whether the contractor meets the contractual requirements.

Requirements
1. The candidate holds at least a completed Bachelor's degree from a university of applied sciences (HBO) in the field of Technical Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Cultural Engineering, or another technical field with a demonstrable relevance to the work area of this vacancy.
2. The candidate has at least 8 years of demonstrable work experience fulfilling the role of contract manager in the civil engineering sector on the client side regarding the procurement of works and services in both the preparation and execution phases.
3. Perfect command of English and Dutch language.
Desired qualifications:
1. The proposed candidate has demonstrable basic knowledge of public procurement legislation.
2. The proposed candidate has demonstrable experience working in the role of contract manager in civil engineering projects involving water.
3. The proposed candidate has demonstrable knowledge of:
• ISO 9001
• system-oriented contract management
• relevant information systems such as SAP and Relatics
• risk management
• contract models such as D&C, performance contracts, and engineering services
