We are looking for a Maintenance & Operations Technician responsible for executing and planning complex maintenance and operational tasks on technical installations. In this role, you ensure the reliable operation of installations and facilities while working in accordance with strict quality, safety, and environmental standards. You contribute to preventive and corrective maintenance, technical improvements, and the successful realization of technical projects within the site.
Responsibilities
- Execute and plan complex maintenance and operational tasks to ensure optimal installation performance;
- Prepare maintenance activities (reserve spare parts, coordinate with operations/VEM, align safety measures);
- Create and update technical drawings such as sketches, P&IDs, and electrical schematics;
- Perform operational control rounds, utility management, and functional tests;
- Detect, analyze, and resolve technical failures and process disturbances;
- Register alarms, incidents, and take appropriate corrective actions;
- Participate in improvement projects and technical working groups;
- Contribute to risk assessments and workplace analyses;
- Support technical installation and commissioning of new projects;
- Provide input regarding maintainability, safety, and ergonomics of installations;
- Verify technical requirements through testing and inspections;
- Report work progress and maintain accurate documentation in maintenance systems and logbooks;
- Update and control modifications to technical diagrams and P&IDs;
- Supervise and guide internal/external technicians during maintenance and inspections;
- Provide technical and operational instructions on-site;
- Train and coach less experienced or new colleagues.
Requirements
- MBO/HBO level in a technical field (Electromechanics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Technology);
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance and/or technical operations;
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical drawings;
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance in an industrial environment;
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting;
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality procedures (VGW/HSE);
- Experience with maintenance management systems and technical reporting;
- Ability to work independently and coordinate technical activities;
- Good communication skills and ability to guide colleagues and contractors;
- Fluent in Dutch; basic English is an advantage.
