Functional Application Manager

We are looking for a Functional Application Manager with experience in ERP systems. In this role, you will act as the link between users and suppliers, ensuring applications function effectively and align with business needs. A key focus will be eliminating the backlog in BIO (Baseline Information Security Government) documentation for critical applications. The role combines functional application management, user support, supplier coordination, and information security responsibilities within an international educational organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the ERP system (Unit4 Business World);
  • Handle user management and authorization administration;
  • Provide support to application users and organize training sessions;
  • Create user manuals and documentation;
  • Identify user needs and opportunities for process improvements;
  • Analyze incidents and coordinate issue resolution with external suppliers;
  • Monitor and manage tickets and planned system changes;
  • Manage supplier relationships and SLA agreements;
  • Monitor and manage application support budgets;
  • Ensure compliance with information security, GDPR, and digital accessibility requirements;
  • Create and complete BIO documentation for critical applications.

Requirements

  • HBO working and thinking level;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in functional application management or a similar role;
  • Experience with ERP/CRM/HRM systems, preferably Unit4 Business World;
  • Knowledge of the BIO framework (Baseline Information Security Government);
  • Experience with cloud-based business applications;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Good planning, organizational, and prioritization abilities;
  • Affinity with data and attention to detail;
  • Basic knowledge of information security, GDPR, and digital accessibility;
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English;
