Job Title: Design Tools Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Design Tools Specialist to join our infrastructure design team. In this role, you will be responsible for the configuration, administration, and support of our CAD/BIM design environment.

You will work closely with project teams to ensure design tools are efficient, standardized, and continuously improved.

Key responsibilities

  • Configure and optimize design tools based on user needs (settings, macros, automation)

  • Provide daily support to design teams

  • Troubleshoot complex issues and liaise with software vendors when needed

  • Define and document design methodologies and workflows

  • Organize training sessions and workshops on design software

  • Test and validate new software versions before production deployment

  • Evaluate new hardware and software solutions (tech watch)

  • Coach and guide colleagues on best practices

Your profile

  • Background in IT with interest in CAD/BIM OR technical drawing (civil, electrical, mechanical) with interest in software

  • Experience with design tools administration (CAD, BIM, PLM)

  • Knowledge of automation / macros (VBA or similar)

  • Familiarity with BIM is a strong plus

  • Organized, autonomous, and client-oriented

  • Curious about new technologies

  • Fluent in French or Dutch with good knowledge of the second national language + professional English
