Job Title: Engineer – Structures Calculations

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Employment Type: Service/Contract

Role Summary

We are looking for an Engineer (0–5 years experience) to join the Engineering division, responsible for the design and calculation of steel structures for high-voltage transmission lines (36–380 kV). You will work on new mast designs, modifications to existing structures, and provide technical support from study phase through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform specialized structural calculations for steel masts and structures

  • Manage study planning and coordinate with internal/external designers

  • Prepare tender documents and support the procurement process

  • Follow up on quality, inspections, and reporting

  • Support site execution and work preparation with project teams and contractors

  • Help optimize calculation rules within engineering software tools

Required Profile

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Physics

  • Knowledge of steel structure design and Eurocodes

  • Experience with FEA / 3D engineering software

  • Strong sense of responsibility, team spirit, and organizational skills

  • Languages:

    • Dutch or French (excellent)

    • Basic knowledge of the other national language

    • Good English (spoken/written)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with MS Project, VB.NET, VBA scripting, or Fortran
