Program Manager

As Program Manager Increased Load, you bring ongoing initiatives together into a single program. You create an overview, set priorities, and ensure that we can scale up faster where safe and responsible. You also identify opportunities for new initiatives and help develop and launch them. You establish the program and manage progress and decision-making. You connect internal and external parties (including the Management Board, Executive Board, and Netbeheer Nederland) and, together with Communications and Public Affairs, develop one clear and consistent narrative for stakeholders.

Key assignments:
  • Internal direction and coherence: you create an overview, set priorities, and align ongoing initiatives (including the (further) development and application of policy, such as the ATC policy).
  • External positioning: you provide sharp input on progress, prospects, risks, and challenges for communication with key stakeholders (including the government).
  • Initiatives (management): you help develop and scale up management initiatives within Asset Management (e.g. load capacity policy at the component level).
  • Initiatives (utilization): you help develop and scale up initiatives in the chain/operations (e.g. in the fault organization and in the approach to spare parts).
  • Decision-making and acceleration: you organize governance and decision-making, structure the organization where necessary, and monitor coherence with adjacent initiatives (e.g., leaving N-1 and the Consequence Factory).
What are you bringing?
  • University-level working and thinking skills and affinity with Asset Management
  • At least 8 years of relevant work experience (program management, portfolio or change management), preferably in a complex technical environment (grid management, infrastructure, plants/industry and construction)
  • Strategic thinking with a hands-on mentality: you build structures and get things moving.
  • Experience with setting up governance, preparing decision-making, and managing progress (planning, dependencies, capacity)
  • Strong analytical skills: you make complex issues concrete and translate analyses into choices and actions (incl. risks and compliance)
  • Excellent stakeholder management: you are a strong sparring partner for the Executive Board, the Management Board, and senior stakeholders in the sector, and communicate clearly (written and verbal).
