Business Consultant Flexible Energy System
We ARE Renewables is looking for a Business Consultant for one of our clients in the energy sector.
The energy transition is resulting in a more heavily burdened grid and more work than ever. As a business consultant, you advise on flexibility solutions for the client and the market. You are closely involved in the implementation of flexibility products within Asset Management. You analyze the flexibility needs in our grids and calculate the conditions customers must meet to be removed from the waiting list. Your advice and analyses are based on internal and external developments and contribute to smart, sustainable choices for the future.
Task and Responsibilities
From day one, you will be part of the Capacity Products team, which is part of Asset Management. In this team, you will collaborate with colleagues on solutions and insights regarding flexibility in the energy grid. As part of the Transition Solutions department, you will also work with around 50 colleagues focusing on diverse themes, but aimed at the same goal: solutions for our customers.
Key Requirements
- You have a university-level working and thinking level.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in project management or an analytical role within the energy sector (grid management is a plus).
- You have an affinity for flexibility and grid operator-related issues.
- You have experience with Python.
- You take initiative and lead the research into congestion reducers.
- You have a command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
Location: Rotterdam + Hybrid
Duration: May 2026 – September 2026 (Extension is possible)
