SAP Consultant
Project Overview
For one of our clients in the energy and infrastructure sector, we are looking for an experienced SAP Variant Configuration Consultant to support a strategic transformation initiative within their enterprise project and portfolio management landscape.
You will be working within a cross-functional delivery team responsible for developing and implementing solutions in SAP S/4HANA. The objective is to enable efficient planning and execution of projects and service orders, ensuring that capacity and quality constraints within the network can be addressed effectively.
The solution focuses on introducing flexible, template-driven product configurations that support a wide range of project types and operational scenarios.
The work is organized across multiple functional streams, primarily portfolio management and project management, with close collaboration across other business units such as planning, engineering, and execution teams. The role involves a mix of on-site and remote work.
Role & Responsibilities
As an SAP Variant Configuration Consultant, you will play a key role in designing and implementing configuration-driven solutions that support complex project execution.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing, configuring, and implementing SAP solutions with a focus on Variant Configuration (LO-VC and/or Advanced Variant Configurator - AVC) within S/4HANA
Translating business requirements into scalable SAP configuration models
Supporting integration with SAP Project System (PS) and SAP Service Management
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across systems and processes
Contributing to the optimization of project planning and execution through configurable templates
Supporting end users through documentation, knowledge transfer, and training
Troubleshooting and resolving configuration and system-related issues
Coaching and onboarding team members to ensure continuity of knowledge within the organization
Key Requirements
Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA
Strong expertise in SAP Variant Configuration, including LO-VC and/or Advanced Variant Configurator (AVC)
Solid understanding of business process analysis and translation into SAP solutions
Experience with SAP Project System (PS) and/or SAP Service Management is a strong advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
Experience in knowledge transfer, training, or mentoring is considered a plus
