NDT Helper (Non-Destructive Testing)
In this role you will support the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) department in achieving the organization’s safety and quality objectives. This position assists with preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring inspection processes are executed according to established procedures and standards. The NDT Helper works closely with Level 2/3 NDT Inspectors and the Supervisor or Plant Manager to guarantee the accuracy, reliability, and traceability of inspection results.
The role is primarily performed during daytime shifts but may require flexibility depending on operational needs.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Follow established procedures and instructions to ensure product quality compliance.
- Support calibration, registration, and evaluation of data related to testing processes.
- Operate and maintain NDT and production equipment according to safety and quality requirements.
- Transport materials and finished products using overhead cranes as required.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
- Review work orders and product quality requirements before performing inspections.
- Assist in implementing improvement processes under the supervision of Level 2/3 NDT Inspectors or Managers.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections and calibration activities.
- Collaborate effectively with all departments within the organization.
- Report incidents, unsafe situations, and hazards immediately to the Supervisor or HSE Coordinator.
- Ensure proper use and daily maintenance of assigned tools and company assets.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned that fall within the scope of the role.
- MBO+/HBO education level (technical or administrative focus).
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar industrial or technical role.
- Familiarity with NDT methods, production processes, and material types used in manufacturing.
- Strong technical and logical reasoning skills.
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English (German can also be a +).
- Basic understanding of NDT techniques and quality assurance procedures.
- Experience in industrial environments involving inspection or maintenance activities.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or specifications.
