Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing an integrated environmental strategy for government, political parties, chain partners, and civil society organizations.
- Maintaining relationships at a strategic level with, among others, Port of Rotterdam Authority, municipality/province, ministries, safety region, inspectorates, and industry partners.
- Identifying developments, sensitivities, and opportunities relevant to the positioning of a large-scale hydrogen import function based on ammonia.
- Developing an external communication and spokesperson strategy surrounding the development of ACE Terminal together with communication professionals.
- Positioning the project within the societal dialogue on hydrogen, ammonia, safety, and energy transition.
- Stakeholder-oriented and public-oriented communication towards local residents, supply chain partners, and the (inter)national press.
- Jointly develop an integrated permits and environmental strategy with the Permits Manager.
- Coordinating jointly with the Permits Manager regarding EIA, the Environment and Planning Act, safety dossiers (BRZO/PGS), nautical requirements, and environmental themes. 1 Internal • Acting jointly with the Permits Manager towards permit issuers, inspectorates, and supervisors.
- Preparing administrative consultations where environmental and permit aspects converge.
- Monitoring spatial integration in relation to administrative and societal acceptance.
- Act as a strategic sparring partner for project management and multidisciplinary teams.
- Translating technical, legal, and safety content into politically relevant choices.
- University level of work and thinking (public administration, communication, urban planning, environmental science, law, or similar).
- 7–10 years of experience in strategic stakeholder management, public communication, and administrative interaction in complex infrastructure, energy, or port projects.
- Experience with projects involving high safety or environmental pressure is a strong advantage.
- Affinity with hydrogen, ammonia, energy transition, and industrial supply chains. Skills & Competencies

- Team player who effectively switches between environmental management, permits, and communication.
- Diplomatic, reliable, and firm in an environment with many interests.
