Responsibilities:
 
  • You coordinate the decision-making process to reach a timely location decision for our network expansions;
  • You carefully map out the interests, ideas, concerns, and wishes of stakeholders (such as municipalities, provinces, TenneT, interest groups, landowners, and local residents) by conducting conversations and translate these into widely supported solutions;
  • You ensure a transparent and well-organized stakeholder process, working according to the SOM methodology. Balancing interests is central to this;
  • You build lasting relationships with external parties and are internally part of the project development team, where you collaborate closely with environmental lawyers, the project developer, and project communication advisors, among others;
  • You coordinate the stakeholder process at a strategic level and work closely with our stakeholder communication advisors, who are responsible for the strategy, approach, and execution of participation and communication;
  • You represent the client at walk-in evenings, administrative consultations, and in spatial planning procedures.
  • Transparent reporting to project management and the client regarding progress, bottlenecks, decisions, and escalations

Profile:
  • A completed higher professional or university education, for example in spatial planning, urban planning, public administration, or environmental law;
  • At least five years of experience as a strategic environmental manager. Experience during the planning phase at a grid operator is a major advantage; otherwise, preferably in complex, spatial (infrastructure) projects with societal impact;
  • Demonstrable experience with complex, multidisciplinary projects;
  • Strong communication skills and ownership – you take the lead in the stakeholder process and ensure progress in projects;
  • Strategic and analytical ability combined with decisiveness;
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, such as the Environment and Planning Act, and experience with land acquisition is a major advantage;
  • You work with the Strategic Environmental Management Model (SEM) and have completed training in this;
  • This is an assignment for 36-40 hours per week.
