Project Leader - CDC

An organization in the energy sector is working toward a future-proof energy grid. In a world where digital security is increasingly critical, the Cyber Defense Center (CDC) plays a key role. As a Project Leader within the CDC, you will drive transformation initiatives and strategic projects that strengthen cyber resilience.
Responsibilities
Lead complex OT projects from initiation to implementation
Prepare, manage, and deliver project plans, budgets, and deliverables
Coordinate technical requirements, tenders, and supplier selection
Organize demos, pilots, testing phases, and acceptance processes
Set up logistical and operational processes for large-scale rollouts
Align with OT engineers, security specialists, operations, procurement, and management
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIS2)
Report on progress, risks, dependencies, and key decisions
Facilitate handover to maintenance and operations teams
Drive execution of phased project programs with clear milestones
Manage stakeholder communication across multidisciplinary teams
Oversee risk management and mitigation planning
Manage procurement processes (RFI/RFP, vendor selection, contract management)
Ensure smooth change and release management in operational environments
Translate technical content into clear communication for management
Coordinate demos, pilots, and test activities
Ensure clear reporting and support decision-making processes
Maintain documentation (configurations, test results, acceptance criteria)
Organize transition to operations and maintenance teams
Analyze root causes and resolve technical/organizational issues
Perform impact analysis and scenario planning
Make decisions under time pressure
Requirements
Strong knowledge of OT architectures (SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, sensors, industrial networks)
Understanding of ICS protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC-UA)
Knowledge of network segmentation and OT network design
Familiarity with OT security frameworks (IEC 62443, NIST CSF, ISO27001)
Experience with monitoring and detection systems (IDS/IPS, OT sensors, anomaly detection)
Understanding of industrial hardware and firmware lifecycle management
Experience conducting risk analyses in OT environments
Ability to translate security requirements into technical project specifications
Understanding of incident response processes in OT environments
Knowledge of patching and hardening strategies
Understanding of compliance requirements (NIS2, internal policies, industry standards)
Strong project management skills in complex technical environments
Experience with stakeholder management in multidisciplinary teams
Experience in budget control and resource planning
Strong communication skills and ability to work across IT, OT, security, and procurement teams
Experience negotiating with suppliers
Ability to produce clear reports and facilitate decision-making
Understanding of business processes and critical infrastructure
Knowledge of operational continuity (downtime impact, redundancy, failover)
Experience with rollout logistics and operational processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations
