Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager
Lead and deliver integrated civil engineering and public infrastructure projects from initiation through handover. Manage complex municipal projects involving roads, sewer systems, pumping stations, paving, public lighting, landscaping, earthworks, underground utilities, and civil structures. Oversee project preparation, procurement, tendering, execution quality, progress monitoring, stakeholder coordination, and budget control.
Act as the key link between policy, engineering, contractors, utilities, and local stakeholders. Support area development projects as a sub-project manager for the civil engineering scope, ensuring alignment between infrastructure, accessibility, traffic safety, utility upgrades, and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects
- Coordinate design, tendering, procurement, and construction activities
- Monitor project scope, budget, quality, risks, and timelines
- Work closely with residents, contractors, utilities, and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to project governance, reporting, and process improvement initiatives
- Support integrated area development projects with civil engineering expertise
- Ensure compliance with municipal standards, regulations, and stakeholder requirements
Requirements:
- HBO level education or equivalent working/thinking level
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar civil engineering project management role
- Strong knowledge of underground infrastructure and road-related works
- Experience with project-based working environments and municipal projects
- Knowledge of RAW system and GIS applications such as ArcGIS
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Familiarity with soft soil conditions and public space development is an advantage
