Senior Engineer
A senior mechanical engineer role focused on designing and delivering sewage pumping station projects, providing technical expertise within multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient water management and flood prevention.
Responsibilities
- Work on large-scale projects related to sewage pumping stations
- Contribute to clean water systems and flood prevention
- Provide technical advice on optimal solutions
- Represent the mechanical engineering discipline in multidisciplinary teams
- Design, prepare, execute, and complete projects
- Collaborate with other disciplines (electrical, automation, civil, construction) and stakeholders
- Prepare technical documents (specifications, requirement documents)
- Support tendering processes and contractor selection under the Contract Manager
- Compile project information and transfer technical results to internal clients
- Perform quality checks and contribute to process improvements
- Support planning and execution of mechanical engineering (WTB) team activities
Requirements
- HBO or WO degree in Mechanical Engineering / Process Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
- Valid VCA certificate
- Driver’s license (Category B)
- Experience with hydraulic or thermodynamic calculations (steady-state and dynamic flows)
- Preferably experience with WANDA software
- Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams
- Knowledge of contract types such as UAV-2012, UAV-GC, and RAW (preferred)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexible and able to work under pressure
- High safety awareness and attention to detail
- Problem-solving, decisive, and results-oriented mindset
- Cost-conscious and motivated to contribute to societal impact
