Project Manager - BESS
You will be the main client interface, responsible for stakeholder management, connection agreement negotiations, commercial/technical alignment, and ensuring cross-site consistency. You will represent our client in all high-level coordination meetings with the end-client, TSO/DSO, EPC contractor, and BESS supplier.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Act as main point of contact for client, TSO/DSO, EPC, and all senior stakeholders.
- Lead negotiations with Grid Operator on connection agreements, technical conditions, and compliance obligations.
- Review and interpret grid connection requirements, interlocking, SCADA interfaces, protection philosophies, and metering.
- Ensure alignment between EPC designs and TSO/DSO requirements across all five sites.
- Oversee OE delivery across all sites: schedule recovery, risk escalation, NCRs, commissioning readiness.
- Approve OE stance on major variations/claims before submission to client.
- Mandatory: 10+ years in utility energy infrastructure; 5+ years as PM on EPC/OE projects.
- Mandatory: Proven experience with grid-connected HV / BESS / substation projects.
- Mandatory: Direct experience working with German TSOs/DSOs.
- Mandatory: Bilingual (English + German) — required for meetings and minutes.
- Deep technical understanding of HV/MV systems and German grid codes.
- Strong contractual communication and negotiation skills.
- Applicants must clearly state German TSO/DSO experience, BESS/substation PM experience, and language ability on CV (MANDATORY).
Location: clients office – Augsburg or Dresden
Contract type: Fixed-term employment (direct with client in Germany)
Working pattern: Monday – Friday, full-time
Duration: April 2026 – March 2028 (TBC again)
