Project Operations Manager
In this position, you will work within the offshore installation division. The client operates one of the world’s largest and most versatile fleets of specialized offshore vessels, enabling the execution of a wide range of offshore activities. The client delivers innovative and sustainable end-to-end solutions for complex maritime challenges worldwide.
The division supports both renewable energy developments, such as offshore wind, and traditional oil & gas facilities. The client is involved throughout the full lifecycle of offshore projects—from development and transportation to maintenance and eventual decommissioning.
As a Project Operations Manager, you are responsible for managing the operational execution of a fleet of vessels throughout all phases of assigned projects. The vessel pool includes Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessels, Construction Support Vessels and Ocean Towing vessels. You act as the primary interface for both internal stakeholders and external clients operating in the renewables and oil & gas sectors.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Managing the execution of charters and projects for multiple vessels within the Marine Services fleet;
- Coordinating closely with vessel crews and internal departments such as crewing and fleet management to meet contractual requirements;
- Optimizing project performance by adjusting sailing and operational strategies during contract execution;
- Aligning expectations with clients and actively managing client relationships for vessels under charter;
- Supporting the commercial department with operational input during the pre-contract phase;
- Visiting vessels during mobilization and demobilization campaigns to ensure timely delivery and budget control;
- Representing the client by promoting and enforcing the No Injuries, No Accidents culture, in line with established safety standards and Way of Working principles.
- A nautical or maritime background, with relevant professional experience in the maritime industry;
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams;
- Strong communication skills in nautical English;
- The ability to assertively communicate project objectives and engage relevant stakeholders;
- Strong analytical skills combined with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- A collaborative mindset and strong team spirit;
- A proactive, resourceful attitude with a genuine enjoyment of complex operational challenges.

Location: Papendrecht preferred, or Antwerp optional
Hours per week: 40, 32 optional. Max 2 days working from home
