About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer – High Voltage Primary to contribute to the engineering and execution of high-voltage infrastructure projects. In this role, you will take technical responsibility for the primary side of substations and grid projects, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective design solutions from concept through detailed engineering and delivery.Key Responsibilities
- Develop technical concepts into detailed project and design specifications
- Design and verify primary high-voltage components, including transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, CTs, VTs, and associated structures
- Prepare preliminary and final cost estimates
- Translate functional designs into executable engineering plans
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, technical standards, and legislation
- Monitor planning and proactively track project progress
- Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks
- Maintain and manage technical documentation in line with Systems Engineering methodology
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams from basic design through detailed engineering and project completion
- Perform quality checks and ensure designs meet safety and feasibility standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience in high-voltage primary engineering (110kV+)
- Strong knowledge of transformers, switchgear, and substation design
- Experience with technical specifications, cost estimation, and engineering documentation
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering principles
- Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
