ABOUT THE ROLESustainable energy and complex infrastructure projects are shaping the future of the Netherlands. For a leading organization active in medium- and high-voltage energy systems, we are looking for a Cost Engineer who plays a crucial role in the success of large-scale technical projects. In this position, you contribute directly to the energy transition by delivering accurate, competitive, and realistic cost calculations for complex projects.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Cost Engineer, you are responsible for determining project costs and preparing detailed cost estimates. You analyze client requests, specifications, and technical documentation, work closely within tender teams, and support projects in the high-voltage sector such as substations, overhead lines, and underground cable systems.
Your responsibilities include:
- Analyzing complex quotation requests and project documentation and translating multidisciplinary projects into clear and realistic cost prices
- Preparing accurate cost calculations and coordinating closely with the tender team
- Collaborating with Project Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, Contract Management, and QHSE to ensure all cost aspects are fully covered
- Optimizing and improving internal calculation and estimation processes
- Handing over calculations to project teams and advising project managers, engineers, and executors for a smooth project start
- Visiting ongoing projects and evaluating previous tenders and calculations to continuously improve future bids
- Working on projects ranging from €10,000 to projects exceeding €100 million
WHAT DO YOU BRING?
- MBO level 4 or HBO background in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience gained in practice
- Experience with calculation and estimation processes is an advantage
- Valid driving license B
- Strong analytical skills, planning and organizational abilities
- Result-oriented mindset and strong communication skills
-Dutch and English language are required
