Description: Senior Identity Access Management (IAM) Consultant with Identity Governance & Administration focus
To strengthen the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team within the Digital Technology department, we are looking for a Senior IAM Specialist with a focus on Identity Governance & Administration (IGA).

The IAM team is responsible for the organisation’s IAM landscape, including identity lifecycle, access control, and privileged access, as well as the functional ownership of the supporting platforms such as SailPoint, Microsoft Entra ID, BeyondTrust, and related identity and access services. Within this broader IAM scope, the Senior IAM Consultant focuses specifically on IGA. The role acts as a bridge between business, HR, security, and technology, translating identity and access requirements into functional designs, standards, and governance models.

This is not a hands-on engineering role; technical configuration and implementation are performed by dedicated platform and engineering colleagues and teams.

Responsibilities
  • Define, analyse, and optimise enterprise-wide Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) models and processes.
  • Define and maintain Joiner / Mover / Leaver (JML) process standards at enterprise level.
  • Define and maintain functional identity data models and lifecycle events used across IAM and downstream systems.
  • Translate HR and business requirements into functional IGA designs, standards, and governance models.
  • Define and maintain standards for business roles, birthright access, and access governance patterns.
  • Contribute to the definition and maintenance of the IGA roadmap, aligned with enterprise programmes and priorities.
  • Act as the primary functional interface between HR, business stakeholders, application owners, and IAM platform teams.
  • Guide and support business analysts and domain representatives in applying agreed access governance patterns, role models, and standards.
  • Act as a senior point of reference within the IAM team, supporting the transition from an operational and technical focus to an enterprise-level IAM and IGA capability.
  • Provide advisory support to application onboarding initiatives by defining consistent access and governance models.
  • Define and govern identity lifecycle and access models for non-human identities, including service accounts, application identities, APIs, automation, and workload identities.
  • Advise on the downstream impact of identity lifecycle events across platforms and applications, including IGA solutions, identity providers, workflow platforms, enterprise systems, and third-party SaaS solutions.
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities from an IGA perspective.
  • Ensure functional designs, standards, and decisions are documented and maintained

To be successful in this role, you bring a senior, enterprise-wide perspective and are comfortable operating at the intersection of business processes and technology. It is expected that you bring most of the following:
  • Senior-level experience in Identity Governance & Administration within complex enterprise environments
  • Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management (Joiner / Mover / Leaver) and access governance concepts such as ABAC, RBAC, PBAC, DAC, birthright access, and certifications.
  • Proven experience analysing HR-driven identity models and their impact on downstream IAM platforms, enterprise applications and external SaaS solutions.
  • Broad knowledge of IAM technologies and platforms, preferably with experience in SailPoint (IGA), Microsoft Entra ID, ServiceNow, and privileged access management solutions (e.g. BeyondTrust), or comparable enterprise IAM platforms, with a clear understanding of their interaction across enterprise and SaaS environments.
  • Strong analytical, advisory, and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
