Field Service Technician – Heavy Equipment

The Role

As a Field Service Technician, you are responsible for the maintenance, repair and inspection of heavy equipment used on our projects. This can range from resolving minor technical faults to carrying out major maintenance tasks that may take a full day to complete. You work independently on-site and are frequently on the road, while always being able to rely on the support of the workshop team when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy and mobile equipment

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults

  • Inspect and certify equipment according to safety and quality standards

  • Work independently on project sites while coordinating with the workshop team

  • Ensure equipment availability to minimize downtime on projects

Requirements

  • MBO-level qualification in Mobile Equipment, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics (e.g. SOMA College or equivalent)

  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing heavy equipment within infrastructure, construction or agricultural environments

  • Solid knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics and electronics

  • VCA Basic certification and Category B driving license (Category E is an advantage)

  • A proactive, responsible and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
