We ARE looking for a Medior And a Senior CAD Engineer experienced in the Heavy Steel Industry or construction, Heavy marine lifting, or offshore cables. 

Medior level: Typically 2–6 years of relevant CAD engineering experience in an engineering or project-driven environment.
Senior level: Typically 6–10 years of relevant CAD engineering experience, including responsibility for complex CAD packages and design intent.


Tasks & Responsibilities:
 
  • Create, update, and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models in line with relevant standards, specifications, and project requirements.

  • Convert approved engineering concepts, sketches, and calculations into precise and buildable CAD outputs.
  • Apply appropriate layer structures, annotations, dimensions, naming conventions, and CAD data management practices according to established working standards.
  • Assist tender and project teams by delivering CAD outputs within agreed timelines, quality expectations, and budget parameters.
  • Develop visualizations, storyboards, and other visual materials to support tender submissions and project activities.
  • Detect inconsistencies, clashes, or missing information in design inputs and proactively communicate them to engineers or project leads.
  • Work closely with engineers, project teams, and other disciplines to ensure coordinated and well-integrated design results.
  • Maintain proper version control, documentation, and archiving of CAD deliverables.
  • Follow applicable SHEQ policies, working procedures, and internal guidelines while contributing to ongoing process improvements.
Extra responsibilities for the Senior level:

 ​
  • Independently develop and deliver complex CAD designs and advanced 3D models while maintaining clear ownership of the design intent.

  • Apply sound engineering judgment when producing CAD designs, including suggesting layouts, interfaces, and detailed solutions.
  • Carry out and validate quantity take-offs, material lists, and technical evaluations using CAD data.
  • Recognize potential design risks and opportunities for optimization, considering constructability and practical execution.
  • Conduct discipline checks and technical reviews of CAD deliverables within assigned authority
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Autodesk software, particularly Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy steel structures and construction.
  • Experience or strong interest in marine heavy lifting and/or offshore cable projects.
  • ​​​​​​Secondary Vocational Education/Higher Professional Education in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
