Mechanical Technical Expert
As a Technical Expert within our client's Fleet Department, you will join a dynamic team responsible for the fleet's mechanical integrity and optimization, specializing in domains like Gearboxes, Propulsion or other supporting systems, while maintaining a broad engineering perspective.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and expertise within one of our expert domains (e.g., Gearboxes, Propulsion, or other supporting systems).
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of mechanical failures within your area of expertise.
- Support engineering projects focused on innovation, sustainability, and efficiency improvements.
- Liaise with suppliers, classification societies, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or a related field) or equivalent through experience.
- Preferred 3 years of relevant experience in a technical engineering role (maritime industry experience is a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to fleet locations or project sites (20%).
- Fluent in English; verbal and written.
