Technical Expert Cranes
We ARE Renewables is currently looking for a Technical Expert Cranes. In this role you will be responsible for providing specialized technical support for our offshore ships, focusing on the companies fixed cranes (Large Liebherr cranes on the vessels for example). You will work closely with internal stakeholders, ensuring that all technical systems and equipment are maintained to the highest standard. This role involves creating and preparing work orders, developing maintenance plans, and collaborating with external suppliers and service providers to ensure knowledge exchange and optimal system performance.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical expert and support for internal stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact (SPOC).
- Stay updated on the latest developments and innovations of the company’s cranes.
- Set up standards for equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure cost-effectiveness and operational reliability.
- Ensure all technical work preparations prioritize safety and efficiency.
Required experience:
- A degree in mechanical would be great, relevant experience in offshore cranes is an even more plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mechanical environment preferably in cranes.
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive and solution-oriented team player with excellent communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel as needed (up to 20%).
- Fluent in English (both spoken and written); additional languages such as German is a big plus.
Location: Antwerp, Belgium. Attending the office in Antwerp at least 3 days per week
Contract: permanent employment
