Commissioning and Service Electrical Engineer
We ARE Renewables is looking for a Commissioning and Service engineer for one of our clients in the energy industry.
Responsibilities:
The department mainly works on MV/LV converters and distribution (24V-50kV); Protection relays; Jack-up vessels/rigs.
- Field service role in electrical engineering services;
- Performing testing, commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance on:
- High Voltage protection relays (SIPROTEC);
- High Voltage switchgear;
- Transformers;
- Medium voltage frequency converters (1 to 38 MW);
- Low voltage frequency converters;
- Electric motors (1 to 38 MW);
- Harmonic filters;
- Auxiliary systems (water cooling, low voltage, automation, etc.);
- Generators and excitations;
- Providing remote support to customers;
- Documenting all performed work and reporting faults;
- Delivering training and instructions to customers’ operational technical personnel and internal colleagues/employees;
- Spending more than 80% of your time on customer locations.
Requirements:
- Education: HTS Electrical Power Engineering/Electrical Engineering (or MBO-4 level with experience);
- Strong affinity for both theoretical and practical aspects of technology;
- Driver’s license (B);
- Good command of Dutch and English (German is a plus);
- A flexible attitude and a proactive mindset;
- Customer-oriented approach and strong analytical skills;
- Ability to work independently and in a team;
- Willingness to perform stand-by duties (working outside regular hours);
- Willing to stay in hotels within the Netherlands during the workweek;
- Willing to take on assignments abroad for up to 6 consecutive weeks;
Location: Netherlands and abroad!
