Technical Works Manager
Your Tasks & Responsibilities:
Review and assess "ready to schedule" job packages provided by technical engineers. Create integrated schedules, assigning appropriate skills, resources, and other requirements. Manage the stage gate preparation process and create schedules for Technical Supervisors involved in the Fleet Intervention project. Track daily progress during project execution and report on actions to expedite tasks. Ensure timely project initiation by coordinating safety inspections, site arrivals, and tool readiness. Take charge of small repair tasks in the absence of the project manager and collaborate with technical supervisors. Project preparation is done at headquarters, with execution phases occurring abroad (the approximate ratio of preparation to execution is 3:1).
A technical background on vessels and/or ship yards, and have hands-on experience with scheduling a project day to day. Effective team player with strong communication and reporting abilities. Skilled in planning tools like Primavera and Microsoft Project (willing to learn on the job). Solid technical background in ship repair and conversion. Proactive attitude with excellent analytical and planning skills. Ability to gather and consolidate information from diverse sources. Demonstrates good leadership capabilities. Adept at fostering relationships with vessels, management teams, and subcontractors.
