Lead Engineer
Tasks and responsibilities:
- In the role of Lead Electrical Engineer you are the right hand of the department head and you can potentially grow into a Specialist, Project Manager or, for example, Department Head. The team in your Northeast region consists of approximately 35 people.
- As Lead Engineer Electrical you are mainly involved in designing and coordinating complex electrical designs. The projects you are active in are almost always multidisciplinary and that requires collaboration with other disciplines such as construction, process and mechanical engineering.
- Together with the project manager and the lead engineers from the other disciplines, you coordinate the project and you are the face of BE to our customers in the projects
- Within the project team you are responsible for the quality of the design of the electrical installation including the budget available for this in combination with the agreed planning. Signaling changes in the scope is of course also part of this.
- You have a good overview of the various engineering phases in the project and you proactively share this with colleagues and customers.
- You manage one or more electrical engineers in your projects
- You are able to deduce the question behind the question, which enables you to determine the correct scope of the project and estimate the hours required.
- The electrical installations you work on can range from clear low-voltage installations to complex installations with large consumers of 20 MVA and a grid connection of 150 kV.
Profile requirement
- You have completed a higher professional education in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Technical Physics or AOT.
- You have completed a training course in Electrical Engineering or related studies.
- You have approximately 8 years of relevant work experience in engineering within challenging and complex multidisciplinary projects within the industry.
- You also have knowledge of current electrical engineering concepts and unit prices.
- Successfully delivering projects within the set time and budget is one of your motivations.
- Solution-oriented approach to solve various issues.
- In addition to your passion for technology, coordinating and delegating work is second nature to you.
- You communicate easily with your customers and colleagues, in Dutch and English.
- Team spirit and a flexible attitude because every project is different.
