System Engineer
We ARE Renewables is looking for a System Architect – PCS 7 Designer for one of our clients in the energy industry in the field of industrial automation and digitalization for onshore and offshore installations. This engineering team is mainly concerned with: with automation and digitalization, such as plant automation, unit control systems and telemetry systems. Certain activities require you to visit other branches in the Netherlands, Belgium, Algeria or a customer location. The client is looking for someone who has experience in industrial automation, preferably with Simatic products TIA, Step7 or other comparable brands.
Your tasks include:
- Creating a basic design (engineering standards and engineering database);
- Translating input information and requirements into project-specific implementations;
- Maintaining contact with the client, supplier, or third parties;
- Maintaining and developing the engineering standards we use;
- Developing and testing the entire PCS 7 concept with hardware and software.
- You have an HBO-level thinking ability with an affinity for Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, and/or Technical Informatics.
- Interest in and/or knowledge of (at least 3 or more of the following items):
- Automating processes and/or machines;
- Process Control System: PCS 7 / PCS Neo;
- Communication protocols: Ethernet, Profibus, ProfiNET, Modbus (TCP), OPC UA;
- Network architecture and security of industrial automation systems;
- Design tools: COMOS / PAA;
- Programming experience with: S7 SCL, VBA, .NET, Python;
